In this episode, Valerie and Steven visit about Steven’s move from setting tight boundaries around what was ‘allowed’ and ‘not allowed’ to be discussed in therapy to deciding that finally he could talk–really talk–about his own story of early sexual abuse. They reflect on how this journey was both scary and sacred and how eventually he was able to stay present while hearing of others who had been through something similar.
