Are you lit up by your own spiritual practices, study, traditions? No? Why not? Because guess what? As grown ups, WE are responsible for our own relationships (including our relationship with the divine and any institutions that might be trying to facilitation our relationship with the divine) and if they are not lighting us up, it is time for a ‘check in’ and some accountability. Thanks for this episode. I have been fighting with myself about what church to go to for a few years now. I have bounced back and forth and I realized, after listening to this episode, that I need to do what brings me closer to God. Go where I feel closer to Him. Go where I am fed, and will be free to worship and learn about God the way that is best for me. It may not fit the mold, and it MAY NOT BE AT A CHURCH; but whatever it is, it will be me and God.
