Curriculum Overview:
Topic 1: Reject / Reconcile / Reclaim
Topic 2: Renegotiating Relationships
Topic 3: Transcend + Include

PARTNER PARTICIPATION OPTION
We recognize that faith expansion and relationship growth often happen together. For participants who wish to have a partner join them on screen, we offer a partner participation rate of $75/month. This allows two people to engage in the group while reserving a single participant space. Because shared participation typically draws less on group capacity than two individual spots, we’re able to offer this intentionally discounted rate as a way to support couples doing this work side by side.

*PLEASE READ BEFORE CHECKOUT: Payment plans may be offered through Klarna or Affirm during checkout. The monthly estimate is based on a $950 total for 6 months of support group work. You will be responsible for the remaining $800 of tuition closer to group start date, which may be paid in full or over time. Klarna and Affirm determine eligibility, payment amounts, and plan length, which we cannot guarantee. Full payment is always available.

If Klarna and Affirm are not visible at checkout, please try using an incognito window.

Curriculum Outline:

Topic 1: Reject / Reconcile / Reclaim

Map every teaching and practice you’ve inherited from your LDS experience — then decide what to release, what to keep, and what to hold as “still unfolding.”

  • Clarify your personal beliefs
  • See diversity of belief modeled and honored in community
  • Experience deep acceptance while defining your spiritual path

Topic 2: Renegotiating Relationships

Learn to engage with traditionally-believing loved ones in ways that are authentic, grounded, and compassionate. We’ll explore:

  • Why loved ones may not understand our changes (doctrine, trauma, fear, developmental stage)
  • Narrative work — reframing stories that limit connection
  • Differentiation — finding stability in your own growth while honoring others’ journeys

Topic 3: Transcend + Include

Discover this essential growth principle — moving beyond what no longer serves while retaining what still brings life.

  • Understand why transcend-and-include is vital for long-term spiritual maturity
  • See how this process uniquely applies to LDS faith expansion
  • Identify challenges and pitfalls when integration doesn’t occur

Included:

Semester II Digital Textbook – New Offering!

The Reclaiming My Spiritual Identity textbook is the official companion to Semester II of the Latter Day Struggles support group series. Over 250 pages of lessons, discussion prompts, and personal reflections that walk participants through the essential stages of reclaiming spiritual identity.

Small Breakout Groups

Valerie organizes virtual breakout sessions after our group meetings for those who prefer smaller, more intimate settings to delve deeper into the content. Several members find this a wonderful opportunity to process some of their most important faith expansion work with a few other open hearts and open minded people.

Private Community

With your own support group via a closed Facebook Page and a current-members-only Marco Polo Group. These are places where members of the group process group experiences together, support one another in their real-life challenges, and reinforce the reality that we are not alone in this journey.

Closed Facebook Group

For all current members of ALL of Valerie’s groups where current group members from all groups can find more connection, discover others in their geographic area, and enjoy periodic Facebook LIVE Question and Response Sessions with Valerie and Nathan as well as other special guest speakers.

Podcast Guest Opportunities

Valerie occasionally invites group members come on the podcast as guests to share their own experiences in faith expansion. Val frequently gets requests from listeners who want to share…and she limits guest appearances to those whom she knows and loves personally :).

1:1 Coaching Opportunities

Valerie occasionally invites group members to volunteer for individual coaching during the group zoom meetings. These are great opportunities for everyone to learn from the principles and reflect upon insights. This is a VOLUNTEER position only, and no one will be forced to share.
