-Bridging Faith Differences as a Couple
-Understanding LDS Faith Transitions
-Strengthening Your Marriage During Faith Transition

In this three-part course series, Valerie offers couples a compassionate, structured path toward understanding and strengthening their relationship in the midst of faith expansion. Through the lens of attachment theory, faith development models, and emotionally intelligent communication, this bundle helps partners navigate the complex emotional, relational, and spiritual terrain that often accompanies differing beliefs within a marriage.

Across these courses, couples will explore the stages of faith development, the relational implications of faith crisis within a Latter-day Saint context, and practical tools for building a strong and loving partnership through change. Valerie guides participants in developing deeper empathy, emotional safety, and shared meaning—transforming what can feel like a time of disconnection into an opportunity for growth and renewed intimacy.

Following this course bundle, participants will:

  • Develop a framework for sustaining emotional closeness and spiritual autonomy within a mixed-faith relationship
  • Understand major models of faith development and how they influence relational dynamics
  • Gain insight into the emotional and attachment patterns activated by faith crisis and spiritual change
  • Learn communication skills that foster understanding, connection, and mutual respect
  • Identify and manage relational triggers and recurring conflict patterns
  • Strengthen the foundation of their marriage using evidence-based tools for trust, admiration, and shared meaning

No. These courses are designed to support anyone experiencing a shift in their LDS religious beliefs, whether you are still attending, have stepped away, or are somewhere in between.

That’s okay. While some couples choose to go through certain courses together, it’s not required—and you can experience meaningful growth on your own.

Each course is designed to be effective whether you’re taking it solo or as a couple. Many individuals begin this work alone and still see powerful shifts in how they show up in their relationships, communicate their needs, and hold space for differences. You’re not behind or doing it wrong if you’re the only one engaging—this work begins with you, and that’s more than enough.
